| Where I Met My Family: |
My mom found me in a rescue shelter in Rock Hill, S.C., named Recycled Pets. My doggy mom had been adopted by a lady who didn't know my doggy mom was pregnant, and she didn't want the puppies. Who wouldn't want US??? Anyway, my five brothers and sisters and I were raised by Teri from Recycled Pets. I was adopted by my human mom at 3 months old and am now a spoiled rotten dachshund baby.

| My First Day with Them: |
I was kind of shy and very laid back the first day at my new home. That is, until I got used to everything. Now I'm wide open all the time! I'm a tough little guy, and I even get the best of my big brother, Justus, now and then when we play-fight. That's cause I'm really fast. My mom is always laughing at Justus and me because we do such funny things. She calls us her little clowns.

| Cool Tricks I Do: |
I'm now one year old, and guess what? I'm about the size of Justus now! I'm still getting into everything, but when my mom says "no," I know it's time to quit what I'm doing. I retrieve my ball, and I'm learning how to shake hands ... or, er, paws. I bark at my mom, she takes me out. Pretty cool, huh? I've got her well-trained! I also whine at my Mom when I'm tired and want to go to sleep, and she picks me up and cuddles me (and sometimes, if I'm lucky, she rocks me). Yea, I'm really spoiled. I also like to open and shut doors with my long nose. It's really cool! Only problem is that sometimes I shut myself in the room and then can't get out. So I have to call for my mom to come let me out. Sheesh!

Things I like: |
I like to pounce on Justus when he least expects it, and I really like when we rough and tumble all over the house. I love my toys -- Justus and I have lots and lots of them. Mom gets Justus and I pig skins to chew on, and I really love those! I like to be held, and I also like to be cuddled when I'm sleepy. I sleep with my mom and Justus in a big bed, and I like to snuggle in the middle of the two pillows and rest my head on my mom's arm. I also love to eat, and my favorite food is canteloupe! Yum! I really like to chew up rolls of toilet paper, too, but my mom usually frowns on that. I love going for rides in my mom's car, and I like to be brushed -- it feels good! And I love to play -- I could play all day, from the moment I wake up till the time I go to bed.

Hmmm. I don't like being told "no," but I'm learning to live with it. Hrrrmph. I don't like it when Justus won't share, but he's getting better.
