| Where I Met My Family: |
Bird Paradise, were I only stayed for a week and a half. I came home at 10 and a half weeks old and Finished my handfeeding with Mommy. I'm glad I'm out of that crazy bird store!

I just sat there and behaved myself! I showed them what a low maintenance bird I am, and what a voracious appetite I have for nuts and dried fruit. I played with every toy they put in front of me, and since my mommy makes them for a living they are easy for me to come by. |

| Cool Tricks I Do: |
|
Lately I have loved destroying plastic things, chuckling to myself, and having my own conversations. I chat in a high pitched voice for a while, then a low pitched one. I like to keep things entertaining by stalking my rubber duckies and platic parakeet. I show them their places. Period. I am becoming a much different but pleasantly active baby than I was when I first met my Mama. I really have shown my love of being head scratched, and have trained Ma well as to how best scratch my wee noggin. |

Eating, brightly colored plastic things, sliding my feet on the counter, having my nostrils rubbed, Bob Marley, slamming plastic parakeets around while creating triumphant noises, my family! (Papa Adam, bird sister Sam, and keet brother and sister Giuseppe and Giovanna) |

Things I like: |
| Parrots have been in my family for the last 4 or so generations and are one of the most significant parts of my life. There is nothing that can replace them for me. In fact, I have never owned anything other than birds, fish, and hermit crabs. Both sides of my family always had people with birds around, and that's how I became. My mother has a cockatiel (The B-Man) who is around the same age I am who I grew up with. We had tons of cockatiels and parakeets and wound up breeding them for a while. I also had an English budgie (Cappy) for about 11 years, starting when I was 5. We acquired a maroon bellied conure who had been severely abused in 1995, when she was 4. The owner said she was 6 months. It was a terrible situation, but Sam is the little green girl that started my whole interest in larger more exotic parrots. We still have her, she's 17 and going strong. She will have her own page soon. I also owned a White Cap Pionus (Gino) who absolutely changed my life. He was another rescue that was taken after a long battle with aspergillosis, one of the most horrible respiratory diseases a bird could contract. Everyone's belief is that he had had it since he left the store he was raised and neglected in, and I gave him the best year and a half I could. My apartment became so lonely because I had moved out with Gino and lived with him for so long, and so I found Rocco. It's wonderful because he is not anything like Gino was. It's like night and day but somehow similar. It's good to be loved by a grateful little baby. And for the first time with Rocco I can say I have a bird that I did not have to rescue!!! I had never bought a handfed baby or anything. I almost feel like it should be harder to teach him, but it's so nice not having to rehabilitate him in any way. To sum everythign up, what I like is birds period. Every one that has touched my life in some way. |
